Our Story
We met in college...
through our business fraternity and were friends for the next few years. Each of us had a crush on the other, but neither of us were 'out.' So, we went about being friends. Then one night, we walked home together and kissed each other goodnight.
The wedding will happen on the 5th anniversary of that first kiss.

Both of us live together in Chicago, Illinois - more specifically, Wrigleyville - in a fun, little two-bedroom apartment. Joseph is a Senior Accountant for an international, commercial real estate firm. Carter is a Senior Associate in Corporate Investigations for a Big 4 consulting firm. We are often travelling, eating, exploring around, running/biking, and enjoying life with friends.

On Friday, February 12, 2016, Carter told Joe to meet him on the bridge overlooking Lincoln Park Zoo and the city of Chicago. Little did Joe know, his closest friends and family were there to surprise him and witness the happy moment.
After a lot of shivering and some nice words, Carter got down on one knee and asked Joe to marry him. And in the cold, windy sunset, they both agreed to spend the rest of their lives together.
Immediately after all the congratulations, everyone boarded a trolley to celebrate around the city. Then the next morning, Carter and Joe flew down to Walt Disney World to continue celebrating as princes in the happiest place on Earth.
